Romney to college student: ?I?m going to make sure you get a job?

Jeremy Epstein, 20, asked the first question of the second presidential debate: How would President Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney improve his chances of getting a job when he graduates from college?

In response Romney talked about his career in the private sector and criticized Obama's jobs record, but also promised increased government assistance to make college affordable.

"We have to make sure that we make it easier for kids to afford college. And also make sure that when they get out of college, there's a job," Romney said.

"I want to make sure we keep our Pell Grant program growing," he continued. He finished his opening statement with a bold promise: "I'm going to make sure you get a job."

Obama's comments were less specific to college students, instead focusing on his efforts to improve the economic situation overall. "Your future is bright," he said.
